Cordion Terms & Conditions

1. Who can use Cordion

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Cordion. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the service only with parental consent where required by law.
• You must not use Cordion if you are barred from receiving our services under applicable law.

2. Account registration

• You are responsible for providing accurate information during sign-up and keeping your account secure.
• You may not create multiple accounts for deceptive or malicious purposes.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use and user conduct

You agree not to use Cordion to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate others.
• Post illegal, pornographic, or sexually explicit content to exploit minors or facilitate wrongdoing.
• Impersonate another person, business, or entity.
• Post hateful content or content that promotes violence.
• Circumvent security or attempt to access other users' accounts.
• Use automation or bots without our permission.

4. Content ownership & license

• You retain ownership of the content you create on Cordion (posts, photos, messages), but you grant Cordion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, and display that content as needed to operate the service.
• If you post content publicly, others may copy, share, or screenshot it. Use care before sharing sensitive information.

5. Privacy

Your use of Cordion is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data. By using Cordion, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

6. Location-based features

• Features such as Nearby, Cross Paths, Circles, and Zones rely on device location. You must explicitly grant location permissions for these features.
• You can control location sharing in settings and enable Veil Mode to hide or blur your location.

8. Moderation, content removal & appeals

• We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• We use a mix of automated tools and human review to moderate content.
• If your content is removed or your account is limited, you may contact support to appeal. Appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

9. Suspension and termination

• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, safety reasons, legal obligations, or inactivity.
• If your account is terminated for serious violations (fraud, harassment, illegal activity), you may forfeit in-app balances (including Cords) consistent with our policies.

10. Intellectual property

• Cordion and its logos, trademarks, and service marks are our property. You may not use them without our written permission.
• If you believe your IP has been infringed on Cordion, follow our DMCA or local takedown procedure by contacting support with the required details.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

You agree to indemnify and hold Cordion and its affiliates harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

13. Disputes & governing law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Cordion is established. If you are located elsewhere, applicable local consumer protection laws may apply.
• For disputes, we prefer to resolve issues informally—please contact support. If unresolved, disputes will be resolved in the courts of our jurisdiction or via arbitration if required by law.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will provide notice when changes are material. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Third-party services & links

Cordion may link to or integrate with third-party services (payment processors, mapping providers, analytics). Those services have their own terms and privacy rules.

16. Feedback

If you give feedback or suggestions, you agree Cordion may use them without obligation to you.
